Our future daughter-in-law asked me to make a memory quilt in September of 2006 for our son,who is a united states MARINE and is serving in Iraq at this time.
They were coming here for Christmas.
I knew I had to get something done fast !! Yet I wanted something that had meaning to their relationship.
She started sending me fabrics, pictures, etc....
I knew this was going to be a fun project.....
I knew the turning twenty book is the one I wanted to use.....
So there I was ................
I just started to put pictures with fabrics until I was satisfied....
Then she wanted special song lyrics and dates too.....
Wow, I thought this was going to be a hard project, but with your turning twenty book it was very easy......
I spent everyday working and rearranging pictures and fabrics..
Soon I got what I wanted... the rest just fell into place.....
And here it is!!!!! I used 90 colors, 30 pictures. I think they both were so surprised at Christmas time.
